Most of our seals are available in two commonly used types; the Single Lip Seal and the Double Lip Seal. The general purpose Single Lip Seal found in most applications, can usually be upgraded to a Double Lip Oil Seal which provides an extra lip to prevent dust and dirt intrusion. This gives your seal protection for a longer life span. Below are two cross-section pictures of both style seals.
